Graphic/Web Designer

We are currently seeking a talented Graphic Designer to help us continue growing in the region with fresh ideas, a great personality and team spirit.

Assedo Consulting provides planning and public outreach services for infrastructure projects in the planning, design and construction phases of development.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, or related discipline;
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant graphic design & web development experience working in Marketing, Advertising or other related field;
  • Website design experience, with great eye for design;
  • Front-end and back-end web development experience;
  • Practical experience in development of HTML, Javascript, CSS, and/or SQL;
  • Experience in creating graphics using the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator);
  • A creative mind with experience developing a brand and items related to the advancement of the brand; and
  • Proven experience creating effective logos, presentation templates, public meeting display boards, newsletters/fliers and other materials.

Planner I

company. We are currently seeking a planning professional to help us continue growing in the
region with fresh ideas, a great personality and team spirit.

Assedo Consulting provides planning and public outreach services for infrastructure projects in
the planning, design and construction phases of development.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Urban or Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering,
    Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Administration, or English;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects for multiple project teams;
  • Interest in community improvement, education, engagement and stewardship;
  • Strong communications skills (written and verbal); and
  • Positive attitude and outlook.

Examples of typical job duties include:

  • Researching community and stakeholder information (including geographic locations
    and community and elected official/stakeholder positions on issues);
  • Coordinating meeting logistics (identifying potential meeting sites, scheduling meeting
    details);
  • Reviewing technical documents and developing draft messages to share with the public;
  • Attending field and community meetings with the team and preparing meeting notes; and
  • Updating project databases.

  • 3 – 5 years of relevant project experience working in urban planning, community outreach or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Community Planning, Journalism, Marketing or other related field;
  • Ability to work on multiple projects for multiple project teams;
  • Interest in community improvement, education, engagement and stewardship;
  • Strong communications skills (written and verbal); and
  • Positive attitude and outlook.

Examples of typical job duties include:

  • Reviewing technical documents and developing messages to share with the public;
  • Coordinating meeting logistics (identifying potential meeting sites, scheduling meeting details, preparing decision matrices of options for the project);
  • Attending field and community meetings with the team and preparing meeting notes;
  • Leading parts of the community engagement process at client and public meetings;
  • Creating project maps and visual aids for public information;
  • Developing project databases and producing accompanying reports; and

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Urban or Transportation Planning, or Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Administration, or English;
  • 6 – 9 years of relevant project experience working in urban planning, community outreach or Master’s Degree in Community Planning, Journalism, Marketing or other related field (4 – 7 years of relevant project experience);
  • Ability to lead task assignments with little supervision/guidance;
  • Strong teamwork skills and character;
  • Commitment to community improvement, education, engagement and stewardship;
  • Strong communications and problem solving skills (written and verbal);
  • Positive attitude and outlook.

Examples of typical job duties include:

  • Providing general oversight and guidance to Outreach Specialists/Planners;
  • Researching community and stakeholder information;
  • Developing outreach plans and strategies;
  • Coordinating with clients, internal and external team members on task assignments;
