After several failed attempts, Baltimore City DOT was able to secure grant funding for the establishment of a bike share system to support the transportation network in the City. Bike share in Baltimore operates similarly to systems throughout the country, but includes measures to allow the large unbanked population to have access to the system.
Assedo Consulting aided DOT in developing outreach materials to explain the new system to the public. The effort also included facilitating a series of community meetings to identify locations where the public would most likely use the system for its launch.
