JEREMY FRANK

Position: Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities:  I am an urban planner and outreach & engagement expert with over three years of experience working with clients across the public and private sectors. Driven by a passion for making cities more livable and sustainable, I aim to positively impact the lives of urban and suburban communities alike. With wide-ranging interests, I thrive on the breadth of urban planning, where working in cities and infrastructure allows me to contribute meaningfully to many aspects of people's lives. My dedication to fostering connection and engagement fuels my commitment to urban planning.

Currently, I am writing technical documents for the Maryland Department of the Environment’s Recycling Needs Assessment, developing presentations for Baltimore Gas and Electric’s Project Yellow, and supporting outreach development using GIS ArcPro.

Why Assedo?  I have many interests and often find myself wanting to do everything. While it's impossible to do it all, I believe in doing things that make a positive difference in people’s lives. What drew me to Assedo was the diversity of their work and the meaningful impact they have on communities throughout Maryland. I joined Assedo to be part of their mission to improve our cities and communities.

Background: My career has been remarkably diverse. In a short time, I have worked with non-profits, consulting firms, local governments, and private entities. I hold a MS in Urban Management and Development from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands and a BA in Global and International Studies, State University of New York College at Oswego. My previous projects include implementing transportation initiatives for the New York State Department of Transportation; designing senior-focused transportation, land use, and housing programs for the City of Long Beach, NY; updating and managing the USDOE’s nationwide EV Charging Station locator; and supporting Pepco’s initial EV Managed Charging and Rebate Programs.

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, baking, exploring Washington DC, and attending networking events. I actively volunteer and participates in both professional and social networking, particularly with Green Drinks DC, a sustainability-focused networking series. I also have a longstanding side business selling handmade tie-dye cloth, a creative venture I have nurtured since childhood.
