At Assedo, our goal is to make projects run smoothly at every stage. We begin by identifying your goals and the key stakeholders we need to engage early in the process. We then outline a process that seeks to cultivate, maintain, and strengthen the trusted relationships between you and those stakeholders. Taking this approach from the very beginning of the project helps us avoid obstacles with the community further down the line, which can often lead to going over budget and missing deadlines.
Based upon project needs, we develop a comprehensive engagement strategy, notify communities of the work (postcards/letters or public signage), host feedback sessions or attend existing meetings, and provide mechanisms for community input (surveys, paper or electronic feedback forms, or focus groups).
Empowering the community to participate in these processes is critical to promoting long-lasting behavioral change. There are many practices that are deeply rooted in culture and tradition that can be modified with the right information in the hands of the community. We teach our clients how to continue to build trust with those they serve by offering early input to communities and implementing small changes with a lasting effect.
